Jodey Sharman
Clinical Psychologist

It’s my privilege to help you heal and become closer to being your true self, so you can live a life worth living.

I’m a Registered Psychologist in Calgary with over 30 years’ experience in occupational therapy and psychology. I’m also a Masters Level Accelerated Resolution (ART) Therapist.

I’ve enjoyed working with individuals, couples, families, and people of all ages with complex physical and mental health problems. As a senior therapist in many roles and AHS, I have developed programs for individuals and communities, consulted to family physicians, facilitated therapy groups, and taught skills to many different learners.

I draw from many different types of therapy, both traditional and alternative. Together we can find the approach that is right for you.  I often use Accelerated Resolution Therapy in my practice because it is a highly effective treatment for many conditions.

I understand your pain, as I’ve had my own challenges to work though.

It’s painful to be stuck in old habits, patterns, and fears that keep you from living joyfully and authentically.  I am always amazed and honored to see the courage and determination of my clients to live, even when living feels too hard.

My desire is to help you move beyond survival to thriving and joy. Life will get better for you. You will notice yourself connecting more with your true self and being in life-giving relationships. Inner peace and happiness can be yours.

Areas Of Speciality

My approach is holistic and collaborative.

I use traditional therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavior (DBT), Solution Focused, and Positive Psychology, as well as alternative techniques. I often use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) because people feel better, faster.

We will work as partners deciding on the tools and pace that is just right, so you can feel safe, understood, and accepted.
