ART – Accelerated Resolution Therapy

ART works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. ART accomplishes this through the use of rapid eye movements similar to eye movements that occur during dreaming. These eye movements are very relaxing and help calm the nervous system. Although techniques similar to these are used in other types of therapies, ART’s very specific approach can achieve rapid recovery from symptoms and reactions that may have been present for many years. ART combines sound treatment practices with safe and effective methods validated by current scientific research studies conducted by the University of South Florida.

ART is not hypnosis. You are always in control of the entire ART session, while you are guided through the process. Although some traumatic experiences can be painful to think about or visualize, the therapy rapidly moves you beyond the place where you are stuck in these experiences toward growth and positive changes. You do not have to talk about details of painful experiences to achieve recovery. ART helps with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), OCD, substance abuse and many other mental and physical conditions effectively and rapidly. It is a helpful way to find solutions to problems that interrupts over-analyzing and overthinking.

I tried ART for myself. It was so helpful in resolving some longstanding problems and replacing the distress I felt with calm and optimism that I had to take the training.
